FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
These are the most common questions I receive when a couple is interested in booking me for their wedding.
Do you travel internationally?
Yes we do! Ask us about the places we’ve traveled.
Do you photograph same sex marriages?
This is a common question and the answer is ABSOLUTELY yes! We DO NOT discriminate against any race, sexual orientation, sexual preference, religion, etc. Period. The end. Love is love in my heart.
How long have you been a full time professional photographer?
I have been photographing weddings and portraits for about 12 years now. I achieved a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art Photography so my experience is 20 years including my studies.
How do you describe your style?
My editing style is true to color as well as black & white editing. Some images just scream to be in black & white and with my artistic premonition, I will take the photo knowing I will edit that image a specific way. I do not use presets or photoshop filters. Sometimes I will be creative in camera and use lens attached filters. It’s important to me that your wedding flowers and attire photographs will look like the colors at your wedding. My emotional style is documentary so I am a stealthy observer photographing moments as they are happening. You will find moments in your wedding catalogue that you did not even know it happened.
How many photos come with our wedding?
75-100 digital photos per hour are promised and delivered in high resolution in a personalized website. Sometimes additional photos are added when I get really creative.
Do you shoot with film too?
I do shoot with film upon request. Sometimes you will find me taking film photos for fun. Depending on the quantity of film photos you are interested in, film and developing cost can be affordable. Let’s chat more in detail on our video meet & greet about how I process the film and convert it to high res digital photos.
Does a wedding album come included in our wedding package?
Each of my wedding packages include pages towards your printed wedding album. Included pages range from 20-40 depending on the package of your choosing.
Do you offer prints and other wall art?
Yes, I am a full service photographer. On our first call, I will go over all of the details with the products I offer as well as the album designing process.
Do you photograph elopements and intimate weddings?
I offer an intimate wedding/elopement package for 4 hours of coverage. I offer backpacking elopements as well.
How can we be sure our photos are safe during our wedding day?
Electronics and memory cards aren’t always reliable.
I always like to educate my clients on the importantance of asking this question. During your wedding I come equipped with two camera bodies that each record simultaneously on two memory cards. This ensures if one becomes faulty, I have a back up. Once I arrive home from your wedding, I back up all of the memory cards onto 2 separate SSD external hard drives. Then I’m allowed to go to bed knowing your photos are backed up 4 times. A little extreme some say, but your wedding photos are my utmost priority.
Would you be willing to hike to for our couples’ photos?
Heck yeah I would! The best part of me is shown in the outdoors and to photograph two love birds on top of a mountain, count me in! So let’s pack our day packs (or overnight packs) with snacks and water and make your dream photos come to life.
Do you help plan a wedding if we don’t have a wedding planner?
If you don’t have a wedding planner, I must be a part of the timeline. This will ensure you are provided the best lighting for your photos. We can discuss the process during our first initial meeting.
What happens if we need to cancel or postpone our wedding?
Life happens and I understand. Let’s chat about options to handle the unforeseen.
What would you do if the weather is bad for our outdoor wedding?
A good photographer comes prepared for anything they can control. For example, if the weather predicts rain, and your ceremony is outside without the option of going inside, I will bring clear umbrellas for you. If the weather is overcast and you are wanting those dreamy sunset feel photos, I will have lights & an assistant to make it happen and look natural. If there are additional obstacles that aren't weather related such as a super dark reception area, I will bring lights to lighten the room without ruining the vibe of the reception.
What are your rates?
Our wedding packages vary based on our couples needs. All of our wedding packages include a variety of goodies such as wedding pages for your wedding album, second photographer or assistant, customized website, timeline guidance. We would love to go over details of additional packages that we offer to find a perfect fit for your dream wedding photography.
NOTE: Your wedding photographer is one of the biggest investments of your wedding so it is so important for you to find the photographer you feel most comfortable with.
